Although the following applies predominantly to European solvents, especially 30 Ml metal bottle styles, Bad/Boy/Fist 24 Ml styles, and Iso brand 24 Ml solvents, these policies are relevant and applicable to all solvent sales, whether domestic or European.
Solvents are volatile liquid substances and as such, can be impacted by things such as high elevation, air pressure, and extreme heat. This can be a potential issue if you live above sea level (we ship from at sea level), if you are having your solvents sent by air (air pressure changes can negatively impact solvents), or if temperatures in your location or the US are unseasonably hot (extreme heat can negatively impact items sent by ground or air). Some orders may face a combination of these factors – especially for our customers in Alaska, Hawaii, or overseas locations, where ground shipping often isn’t even possible.
If you are concerned about having your solvents leak due to these issues, you may want to Rebottle the solvent. That is, for $1 a bottle, we can transfer any solvent to a corresponding Artisanal style bottle. These bottles are much more secure than the European style bottles they originally came in, and virtually never leak. We will send you the Rebottled solvent in a vacuum-sealed pouch, along with the original European bottle that it came in. This is done for purposes of authenticity.
It is up to the customer to decide if Rebottling the solvent is right for them. Many times orders are shipped just fine without it. PWD (US-Made) Solvents typically do better in shipping than their European counterparts. Which isn’t to say that European orders all will leak – the majority do not, especially with the 10 and 15 Ml styles. But some cases do prove why this procedure exists in the first place. That is why this page was created: to help provide clarity on this unique issue.
If you choose to Rebottle your solvent for $1, you will have your solvent professionally transferred into an Artisanal-style bottle by our staff. The Artisanal style bottles are used for our in-house line of solvents, and those have virtually zero issues with leakage, under all conditions and to all locations.
The Rebottled solvent will then be vacuum sealed inside of a pouch to prevent any issues with scents or odors. Again, this is typically not necessary due to the style of bottle used in Rebottling. But we do it as a precaution and a safeguard against any potential, unforeseen issues.
You will receive the original bottles of any Rebottled solvents you order. This is done for authenticity’s sake, as well as for your novelty purposes. Feel free to retransfer the solvent back if you like (although we recommend leaving in the Artisanal style bottle even after shipping), or save the original bottle to show your partner(s) what’s in your brown bottle.
This procedure is offered as a way to ensure that your solvents make it to you safely. If for any reason your rebottled solvents arrive damaged or leaking, we will replace the order free of charge. It is very unlikely that the Artisanal bottles will leak at all, but if it happens, you’re covered.
If you are unsure of whether you may need this feature, do not hesitate to contact us for additional insight regarding your unique shipping situation.
